About Katya Held

     Katya Held, an accomplished professional artist for over two decades, a graduate and an art instructor of one of the world’s premier realist art schools Studio Incamminati, founded by Nelson Shanks in Philadelphia, PA, received her MFA from St. Petersburg State Academy of Art and Industry, named after Alexander von Stieglitz, in Russia.
 
     Katya has had her artwork exhibited worldwide in preeminent galleries and museums, including Artworks in Philadelphia Museum of Art, Stieglitz Museum and Central Exhibition Hall in St. Petersburg, Russia, National Arts Club in New York, S.R.Brennen Fine Art in Santa Fe, NM, Freeman’s and Newman Galleries in Philadelphia, Maurice Sternberg Gallery in Chicago and many others.  Katya’s paintings are displayed in numerous private collections and corporate headquarters throughout the world, including Sunoco and ARC Wheeler Group, which commissioned her work for their collections.
 
     Held finds meaning and beauty by carefully studying the observable world around us. Her work encompasses a wide variety of subjects: portraits and figures, city scenes and rural landscapes of foreign lands, still life and floral compositions. Katya maintains her studios in Philadelphia and St. Petersburg.
