After more than a decade of formal training here and abroad—mastering figure and portrait painting and teaching for over 25 years—I returned to the subject that first captured my heart. With refined skills and a deeper understanding of painting fundamentals, I discovered that roses weren’t intimidating at all. They simply required the same thoughtful method I used for portraits, landscapes, and still life.
